Services
Pre-Move Counselling - Look & see / exploratory visit
Assistance program developed for employees considering a transfer to Belgium.
BRC provides general information about Belgium, the history, languages, government, economy and social life. Detailed information is given regarding legalities, housing, schooling, banking and recreation, medical care, cross-cultural matters, etc.
We will take you on an area orientation tour and show you the different aspects of living abroad.
Work Permit & Legalities
BRC helps you to obtain all legal documents such as work permit, professional card, entry visa, residency permit and driver's license. We will move you fast and smoothly through the administrative jungle of local bureaucracy.
Securing housing
Whether you want to buy or rent, furnished or not, your preoccupation is to find the right home.
BRC will pre-select homes, assist you with the house search, do lease/buy negotiations, make all practical arrangements (home inspection, phone & internet connection, cable TV, utilities, fire insurance, etc.).
We can arrange for assistance when your home needs decorating with rental furniture, carpets, curtains, light fixtures, appliances, etc.
School selection
BRC will provide information and make appointments with different schools. This enables you to evaluate which one will best meet your child's needs.
Any other extra-curricular activities, such as dancing, music, or sports, etc. which may interest your child are researched and supplied to you.
Banking, insurances and taxes
We will give you information on the banking system and help you to open an account, arrange debit or credit cards, on-line banking, automatic monthly payments, or help in getting a mortgage or a car loan. Our banks have facilities in different languages for you.
BRC will assist to set up insurance for fire, personal belongings, theft, third party liability, car or life insurance.
If information is required on local taxes we can refer you to specialists who will guide you through the whole process. We can also refer clients to investment companies who can assist them with their worldwide investments.
Medical Care
Our excellent medical care is at your service. We inform you in detail of the workings of the Belgian medical system. Names of hospitals and doctors, dentists, paediatricians, pharmacists or private nurses, are provided upon arrival.
In emergencies we can be there for assistance pertaining to the paperwork for hospitalization.
Cars
We can help you to purchase a new or second hand car, arrange for a car loan and insurance. Should you wish to import your vehicle BRC can assist with that too. Detailed information on importation regulations and Belgian safety requirements are provided.
Food, Shopping, Leisure and Recreation
Local facilities such as commercial shopping centers, specialty stores, local restaurants, cheerful bistro's and lovely exotic eating places are revealed to you as part of our services.
We prepare an overview of social clubs & organizations, clubs to practice the sport or hobby of your choice, as well as information on theatres, dance performance, concerts, museums, tourist attractions or special events.
Cross Cultural Awareness & Language Training
If you would like to learn more about the cultural differences in your new home country or study the local language, we can assist to set up cross cultural awareness programs or introduce you to outstanding private language instructors or schools.
Moving Away - Repatriation
Allow us to help you just once more before you leave. We will contact removal companies, cancel all public services, do final inspections, handle final bills or reimbursements for the client and forward mail to the new home address.

Full Exit Package
Full departure assistance package for the expatriate and/or the family:
- termination of the rental agreement with POA
- exit meeting with employee, briefing on moving-out procedures
- arrangement and coordination with removal company
- coordination of the final cleaning, maintenance, gardening, gutters, rubbish removal
- arranging and being present at the final inspection of premises with POA
- cancellation of all utilities, insurances, internet & phone
- follow-up on final payments on behalf of the employee
- handling reimbursements on behalf of the employee
- forwarding of mail to the new home address (4 months)
Extraordinary services
Additional services or expenses which are not included in the regular packages such as:
